Me and my memories-
racing towards obscurity,
one of us makes up lies, the other makes up chords
we wind up in the same song

I don’t have any more dreams coming true,
you’re leavin’ & packing up most of my stuff

She lives life out the corner of her eye
decked out in space-age green,
slightly tilted upon a vapour screen

& it’s usually a sigh
then her voice goes to still-

Sometimes our hearts have
too many moving parts
& when I woke up this morning in the afternoon
not my house, but it felt like my room
not my house, but it felt like my room

my muse is slightly faster than she used to be,
her laugh is louder now-
because now I see you the way the stars look at you
& that’s something you just don’t give away
