I wake up in the morning, and I still feel as if I wasted my life supporting other people who never gave anything back in return. As if they’re presence alone was mana from the heavens.Listening to stories of heartbreak and death standing by throughout some of the hardest moments a person could experience, but suddenly no one could be found when it was my turn to sit underneath the guillotine of life’s tragic and unfortunate moments. Now I give nothing back in order to reclaim what precious time I have left. This could be the start of a new series where we can get together and have morning-side chats over a steaming brew before a fresh day of work, as I pontificate on life’s up’s and down’s while I reconcile the failure to achieve anything comparable to what I actually wanted from the world and what I actually earned for myself. learning early on that it’s not about me, it’s never about me; I tried to give and save everything. Save the trees, Save the oceans; Save the Syrians. All of those pleas fell mainly on dead ears. Now some people would like it if I pitched in again and I simply don’t have the wherewithal to try once more. There never came a moment where the reward matched the demand now I’m content to watch the world languish alongside you while Drake plays in the background.
